Parawing - stash your parawing on a wave
How to bring in and stash your parawing
Once you've caught a suitable wave to start your downwind ride, all you have to do is bring in the parawing and stow it away.
Always pay attention to foiling and wait to pack away the wing if you need to concentrate on the wave or other water sports enthusiasts.
To bring in the parawing, turn the bar parallel to the lines, hold it with one hand, and use the other to reach along the lines to the parawing. The hand holding the bar tightens the lines.
At the end of the lines, grab hold and bring both hands back together. Then stuff the parawing into the vest (or under the lycra, into the bag) with one hand and stow the bar with the lines. Then you have both hands free and can ride the waves.
Tip: Before hauling in the parawing, change to a downwind course, as this will reduce the power in the wing and make it easier to pull in. You can also practice the movements involved in bring in and stash the parawing on land so that you can perform these maneuvers more routinely on the water.
